B.S. Textiles & Fashion Design

BIO / Yasmin

During my studies in UW-Madison’s Textiles & Fashion Design program, I found myself using clothing as a medium for self-expression, and social reflection. My work explores how fashion can both shape and liberate identity, by challenging expectations around gender, culture, and professionalism. Across each collection, from concept-driven ready-to-wear to experimental one-of-a-kind pieces, I use design to question conformity and celebrate individuality. Whether drawing from cultural narratives, childhood nostalgia, or everyday dress codes, I aim to create garments that invite authenticity and empower wearers to inhabit their truest selves. To me, fashion is a dialogue—between body and textile, tradition and rebellion, self and society.
