In our increasingly conscious world, my design project seeks to revolutionize everyday wear through a fusion of sustainability, culture, and innovation. In researching zero-waste patternmaking, I realized my responsibility as a designer to reduce textile waste in all capacities. By putting waste reduction at the forefront of the design process, we open our minds up to new design opportunities. Zero-waste patternmaking involves little to no sewing or cutting, allowing it to be an accessible activity for all to learn. My collection includes unisex children’s garments, constructed as simply as possible for kids to easily follow. I hope to spread my love and knowledge for garment making and highlight the significance and ease of making your own simple garments.
